"and Lord,
please help us to say what we mean and mean what we say,"
That simple sentence said in a prayer by my Pastor on Sunday morning can't seem to leave my head.
How often it is in life that we give out words that we don't really think twice about.
Sometimes we say the one of the 3 magic words; sorry, often without really putting some sense of sincerity to it.
Some other times, we say things we don't really ever gonna carry out when we got too emotional.
And then there are people who make promises without the intention to carry it out.
There are also others who say they have forgiven but still get agitated over the mention of a name.
Just by the corner, there are groups of girls who make insulting jokes casually because they think it's fun to verbally bully a "willing" friend.
On the other corner there are another teenagers who utter mean things just because they can.
Then I wonder, how often do we take our words for granted.
Shouldn't we put more consideration to every words we say including each words we type and post on social media?
Our words are supposed to be meaningful.
When we say things that we do not mean, it diminishes the power of our upcoming words.
Actually, maybe the less we say, the more meaningful are the words that we do.
Trust is build out of several things and one of the most influencing factor is your word.
with that being said, what's left of a man if his word cannot be trusted?
If you don't mean it, do not say it
If you mean it, find the courage to say what you need to say
before it's too late
Hm, interesting.
