"yet it doesn't tell the whole story..."
How often it is do we assume that we know things just because we got to see the tiniest glimpse of it
How often do we got taken aback when some couple, who seems to be super happy in their Instagram posts, ended their relationship
How often do we egoistically put the blame on someone just because we think they don't have as much problem as we do
How often do we believe that a man is despicable over just one single mistake
How often do we make judgement about an ex-boyfriend from her side of heartbreak only
How often do we think that the girl, who we believe got everything under her control, doesn't deserve to break down once in a while.
Let me tell you now plain and simple, it never tells the whole story.
You don't know that those couple had been tangled in the toxic-draining-relationship that doesn't lead anywhere
You don't know that the person you blame had already sacrificed a lot, fighting over both her physical and mental fatigue, just to make things a little bit easier for you
You don't know that the man had only so little choice - either sacrificing his dignity or his son's
You don't know that the ex-boyfriend was the one hurt most from all the verbal abuse
You don't know just how many times the girl cries herself to sleep at night because of the certain standard that people constantly put upon her shoulder
You see now?
It never is the whole story.
Quit victimising yourself
Quit talking about other people when actually you have nothing to do with them
Quit being self-centred and think that every single thing in the world is about you
Quit putting overly high expectations both on yourself and the people you love, let all breathe once in a while.
This post, it doesn't tell the whole story
but it must do, at least for now.
But then will there ever be a whole story?
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell a whole story?
What is a story?
Is there a God?
Are we here?
What is life?
something beyond t5 I suppose
DeleteThis is short but so true. </3 Nothing tells the whole story these days, and I think the sheer amount of social media we consume doesn't help with this either. Thank you for writing xx
