A Kind Reminder

Hey there,
this post is dedicated to all of you who needs a kind reminder that it is okay not to be fine sometimes.
I too was once needing this reminder and it comes through one of my favourite tv series so I am sharing this with you.
It is also meant for you who needs to know right now that all of us makes mistakes and that too is okay.
Mistakes are there as a part of our life to teach us a lesson.
Mistakes too are what eventually makes us humans.
So its okay, your life is not over just because of one stupid mistake you made.
We've all been there, tho none the exact same.

Well darling, if you are not fine by the time you read this post, or that if you are currently regretting some of your presumably wrong decisions, I just want to say that you don't get to give up.
Keep fighting, will you?
Because we know that eventually you'll be fine again.
Remember those moments when you felt truly happy?
You'll get there sooner or later.

Yeah I know that for some people, waiting for the clock to turn and the night time to come so that you'll get an excuse to quit the world and sleep is an everyday's struggle.
Not to mention it all will just go back to another morning, another battle.
Believe me I know, but you too will be okay.
It's important for you to know that you and you alone got the power to decide to fight through another day until it gets better.

Don't worry too much tho, just do it over and over again.
Do it even when you don't feel like doing it.
Again and again.
Each time telling yourself one more time.
Eventually, that too will become as natural as breathing.

And if this post is not directly for you but you know someone who might need to hear this right now, do me a favour, would you?
Contact them, ask them how they're doing, be there for them.
Everyone needs someone and you might be the only one available right now for them.
One post on a friend's instagram lately said this and it really tickles my heart;
"When God compels you to check on someone, do it immediately. You never know what kind of impact it could have on the person"
-Cornelius Lindsey

So yeah, in the end people are what matters. Last thing that I'd like you to be reminded of for now is that the next time people asked you what you're doing out of nowhere,
make it a habit not to say you're busy and answer instead by asking what they need or if they're okay in your own way.

"No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it."
1 Corinthians 10:13 (msg)

Things Taken For Granted

"The things we take for granted are the things we long for the most when they're gone" After bringing up the idea to my instagram story, I learnt from friends' kind responses that most of us have that little things that we have been taking for granted in this life. Things that worth so much more than we realise but we kind of forget just because we got them by grace, we got them already, and we got them without sacrificing much of ourselves. Little do we know, these things we take for granted, they are not going to be there forever and always and that is exactly why I wish for us all to take a moment to embrace it all and give these things more credit that we gave them for these things deserves so much more than this. Life. How often is it we forget that each day when we are able to open up our eyes to the bright sunlight is a grace in itself. It doesn't matter how hard, how miserable, how boring, how lonely you might feel your days currently are, the very b...

We Are Who We Are

"We are who we are,” A line of one of my current ongoing tv series good doctor that suddenly become a jolt of inspiration to reflect, to write once again. We are who we are and indeed we are all different. One very introvert and need her own space, one never runs out of the so called social battery. One likes to cook and bake and paint, one, on the other hand, likes to do math and statistic and accounting. One is very practical and energy conscious, the other one very in the moment and living life to the fullest. These differences, it sometimes feel like the barrier of us getting along. It sometimes feel like with each differences, the further away we become from creating a long-lasting friendship filled with “unconditional” love. Sometimes too, these differences create a heavy burden of expectation. Expectation to be slightly less different, expectation to change who you are for the sake of being “belong” in a group of people, expectation to di...

Making a Difference (?)

Looking at the million stars above me, wondering how far they all are, how wide this universe is, there's only one way this brain can go, "how on earth is the little insignificant me is supposed to make a change in this world?". There were some points in my life when I dreamed to be inspiring. Inspiring enough to be heard by millions, inspiring enough for thousands of people to follow me on social media, and inspiring enough for hundreds of people to read my blog posts. The dream to inspire was based on the hope that my life could mean something, could bring a change, could make this world just a little bit better. But then there were moments like these. When I realised that no matter how "inspiring" or not I am, it's kind of making zero difference in this world. I mean who are we? Just a speck of dust within the galaxy says Adam Levine's lost stars. How impactful should one be to change the world? Being a president? Being a miss universe? Being...
