Time

Time.
Time is the cruelest of all

It takes away the things we thought will last
It corrupts sweet memories while in the same time preserves bad memories all too well
It snatches dreams, hope, and love
Seeming as if it makes you grow up, it actually changes you, forcing you to suit your dreams with others' expectation
It makes you forget the thing that gives you the strength to take your very first step
sometimes it even has the power to manipulate your position on the love you have once given and received
It takes away your importance in people's heart and mind, replacing you like you're nothing but a vapor in the wind
That's what time does best
Turning every single thing into trivial pieces of memory puzzle

But don't worry, time is very fair
It allows no one to hide and get away
You can't protect anyone from time
not even yourself
Whatcha gonna do, then?

Things Taken For Granted

"The things we take for granted are the things we long for the most when they're gone" After bringing up the idea to my instagram story, I learnt from friends' kind responses that most of us have that little things that we have been taking for granted in this life. Things that worth so much more than we realise but we kind of forget just because we got them by grace, we got them already, and we got them without sacrificing much of ourselves. Little do we know, these things we take for granted, they are not going to be there forever and always and that is exactly why I wish for us all to take a moment to embrace it all and give these things more credit that we gave them for these things deserves so much more than this. Life. How often is it we forget that each day when we are able to open up our eyes to the bright sunlight is a grace in itself. It doesn't matter how hard, how miserable, how boring, how lonely you might feel your days currently are, the very b...

We Are Who We Are

"We are who we are,” A line of one of my current ongoing tv series good doctor that suddenly become a jolt of inspiration to reflect, to write once again. We are who we are and indeed we are all different. One very introvert and need her own space, one never runs out of the so called social battery. One likes to cook and bake and paint, one, on the other hand, likes to do math and statistic and accounting. One is very practical and energy conscious, the other one very in the moment and living life to the fullest. These differences, it sometimes feel like the barrier of us getting along. It sometimes feel like with each differences, the further away we become from creating a long-lasting friendship filled with “unconditional” love. Sometimes too, these differences create a heavy burden of expectation. Expectation to be slightly less different, expectation to change who you are for the sake of being “belong” in a group of people, expectation to di...

Making a Difference (?)

Looking at the million stars above me, wondering how far they all are, how wide this universe is, there's only one way this brain can go, "how on earth is the little insignificant me is supposed to make a change in this world?". There were some points in my life when I dreamed to be inspiring. Inspiring enough to be heard by millions, inspiring enough for thousands of people to follow me on social media, and inspiring enough for hundreds of people to read my blog posts. The dream to inspire was based on the hope that my life could mean something, could bring a change, could make this world just a little bit better. But then there were moments like these. When I realised that no matter how "inspiring" or not I am, it's kind of making zero difference in this world. I mean who are we? Just a speck of dust within the galaxy says Adam Levine's lost stars. How impactful should one be to change the world? Being a president? Being a miss universe? Being...
