Which friend are You?

"when you get caught in the middle of the rain,
you can't blame the clouds for not being able to hold the weight of it all,
you can't blame the sun for being too hot it vaporises too much water,
you can't blame anyone and anything but yourself.
when you are who you are today,
you can't blame your parents for choosing you
you can't blame the society for what it pushed you to be
you can't blame anyone and anything but yourself
because life is not a blaming game."

Have you ever had that friends of yours who are just beyond nice?
Up to the point you sometimes wonder whether they are nice or plainly stupid.
Because the line between the two is just super vague and thin, don't you think?
Then, there are people in that same circle of yours that always take advantage of the kindness of a friend - ignoring the fact whether they do it purposely with malice or not.

Have you ever had that friends of yours who get everything a person can hope for all too easily?
They get good marks without studying. Either they are born smart or they play dirty.
They use their pretty faces to their advantages - not that its a wrong thing to do.
They are the people that guys and girls gossip about on the lunch table.
Then there are people, who fight their ass off to get what they have but luck and the whole universe is just against them.

Have you ever had that friend that are simply invisible?
They are not the best and not the worst. They are mediocre.
They are never loud in class but at times they get all noisy in their social media.
They don't speak up, they seems to never argue, and they just accept all things as it is.
And then there are people who can't stand when the shine is not on them, doing all things to seek the attention and never shut up when things do not go as they plan it would.

Have you ever had that friend that you worry will go to the wrong directions some day?
They have this look in their eyes as if they are done with this world and all its shit while laughing in the middle of a crowd.
They come in every morning without any purpose as if all is lost.
They don't fight, they don't feel, and they do whatever they feel like doing.
And then there are people who worry for their friends just because they are that kind of person.

Have you ever had that friends of yours that always work twice as hard as everyone else?
Sometimes not really resulting in twice as better yet they do it anyway.
They are the people that your circles depend on to do the extra miles making sure everything is well.
They are the ones you hate for being idealistic, perfectionist, and trying to lead you to be better at times.
And then there are people who won't stop complaining about their life and talk bad things about their friends, trying to make themselves a bit better about themselves by bringing everybody down together with their dignity.

Have you ever wonder what drives a friend to be who they are?
Is it their past? Their parents? Their crushed dreams? or perhaps their God?
What drives you to be you?
Which friends are you?
Which friends do you choose to be from now on?
Whatever you choose to be - good or bad - it isn't anyone's decision but yours

Things Taken For Granted

"The things we take for granted are the things we long for the most when they're gone" After bringing up the idea to my instagram story, I learnt from friends' kind responses that most of us have that little things that we have been taking for granted in this life. Things that worth so much more than we realise but we kind of forget just because we got them by grace, we got them already, and we got them without sacrificing much of ourselves. Little do we know, these things we take for granted, they are not going to be there forever and always and that is exactly why I wish for us all to take a moment to embrace it all and give these things more credit that we gave them for these things deserves so much more than this. Life. How often is it we forget that each day when we are able to open up our eyes to the bright sunlight is a grace in itself. It doesn't matter how hard, how miserable, how boring, how lonely you might feel your days currently are, the very b...

We Are Who We Are

"We are who we are,” A line of one of my current ongoing tv series good doctor that suddenly become a jolt of inspiration to reflect, to write once again. We are who we are and indeed we are all different. One very introvert and need her own space, one never runs out of the so called social battery. One likes to cook and bake and paint, one, on the other hand, likes to do math and statistic and accounting. One is very practical and energy conscious, the other one very in the moment and living life to the fullest. These differences, it sometimes feel like the barrier of us getting along. It sometimes feel like with each differences, the further away we become from creating a long-lasting friendship filled with “unconditional” love. Sometimes too, these differences create a heavy burden of expectation. Expectation to be slightly less different, expectation to change who you are for the sake of being “belong” in a group of people, expectation to di...

Making a Difference (?)

Looking at the million stars above me, wondering how far they all are, how wide this universe is, there's only one way this brain can go, "how on earth is the little insignificant me is supposed to make a change in this world?". There were some points in my life when I dreamed to be inspiring. Inspiring enough to be heard by millions, inspiring enough for thousands of people to follow me on social media, and inspiring enough for hundreds of people to read my blog posts. The dream to inspire was based on the hope that my life could mean something, could bring a change, could make this world just a little bit better. But then there were moments like these. When I realised that no matter how "inspiring" or not I am, it's kind of making zero difference in this world. I mean who are we? Just a speck of dust within the galaxy says Adam Levine's lost stars. How impactful should one be to change the world? Being a president? Being a miss universe? Being...
